Spring is right around the corner, which means it is time to pull your mower out of storage. After sitting all winter, there are a few things you need to check before you jump into mowing your lawn.

1. Check the oil, making sure it is at the full mark
2. Check the air filter to make sure it is clean and free of debris
3. Check fuel filter to make sure it is not clogged
4. Check that your battery is free of corrosion
5. Check the tire pressure of both front and rear tires
6. Check that your blades are not worn, and they can turn freely
7. Check and make sure there is no buildup of debris under your deck
8. Clean the top of your deck
9. Make sure your belts are in good shape and are properly greased
10. Only use non-ethanol fuel and/or John Deere fuel protectant
