The John Deere Technician Program is a two-year associate's degree in which students learn how to troubleshoot, service, repair, and rebuild John Deere equipment to ensure SunSouth customers have little downtime when they experience equipment issues. Students will gain the skills and experience to become a Service Technician at SunSouth. As a student of this program, you will receive hands-on technical training, as well as learn from seasoned technicians and learn how to put your skills to work.

To be accepted into the John Deere Agricultural Technician Program, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be sponsored by one of SunSouth's 21 locations.

Applicants have the choice to attend either South Georgia Technical College or Northwest Mississippi Community College. We encourage applicants to make their decision early to avoid any potential issues with enrollment.

Each student must meet the admission and academic requirements from their school of choice and be accepted prior to the start of the semester.
