What-Day-Is-It

What day is it?? How many times have you asked yourself that in the last month? Almost as many times as you've heard the new phrase “social distancing” I'm guessing. Isn't it weird to think that we had never even heard of this phrase 2-3 months ago, but we hear it so many times a day now? So crazy to me.

Now that we are slowly getting to come out of our “stay at home” orders, I think it's a great time to reflect on what the last couple of months have done for us. How'd you spend your time? Did you catch up on some much-needed R&R? Knock out some indoor spring cleaning by cleaning out the kid's closets? Or maybe got outside and did some DIY projects?

Even though I was still going into the office, I took this extra time at home to do something I've always wanted to do- plant some veggies and herbs. I didn't want to till up a huge garden because a) I don't have the space to do that and b) that's more of a job than I was looking for. So I went to Lowe's and bought two big resin pots and picked out a couple things to plant. I decided to go to Rosemary, Dill, Basil, Cilantro, and Parsley for my herbs. For veggies, I wanted to keep it simple since they are harder, and I don't eat a lot of veggies- so I got bell pepper and tomatoes. Lowes also had a strawberry plant, so I grabbed one of those. All in all, I spent around $60. Which I personally thought wasn't too bad. It's so much fun to watch them grow.

It's been so nice driving home from work in the evenings and seeing everyone out in their yards. Parents playing ball with their kids, siblings playing with each other, and neighbors having a chat with their next-door neighbors- of course from a distance.

Don't forget Mother's Day is just a couple weeks away. If your mom is like my mom and takes pride in her beautiful yard, check out our battery-powered STIHL equipment. In the month of May, we have a great deal on a BGA 57 handheld blower for only $199.95. It weighs a little under 8lbs and produces over 100 mph of air velocity. Mom won't even have to get her hands dirty with gas- just pop the battery in and go.

Stop in and see us for all your John Deere and STIHL equipment needs. Our stores are still open and working hard to get you what you need. We hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy! See you soon!
