New Years Resolutions

new years

We all make new year resolutions and while they normally include working out more, eating healthy and saving money, for farmers that may look a little different. Now that the harvest of 2021 is complete and we have a fresh slate for 2022, what are some resolutions you should have for yourself and your farm.

  • Be better organized. Whether it is tools, equipment or even paperwork we all know there is room for improvement when it comes to organization on the farm. Implementing new organizational systems can make the world of difference when it comes to how your farm is ran.
  • Learn about new technology. New technology is taking the agriculture world by storm and theres no better resolution than to learn about new and improved ways to help your farming operation.
  • Set aside down time. Running a successful farm can be draining both mentally and physically. While there is always work to be done, it is important to set aside time to relax and recover from the stress of farming.
  • Be active on social media. The social media world is a great way to interact with other farmers and even give the community a behind the scenes look at where their goods are coming from. Who knows, you just might go viral.
  • Become more involved. Volunteer to talk to classrooms about farming, get involved in your local FFA chapter, there are so many ways to be involved in your local community and this year why not take advantage of that.

Successful farming comes from setting goals and in 2022 we wish you nothing but success. From our family to yours, Happy New Year!
